These are the terms of use for Goodbye Stuff (the "app"). Using the app means you agree to the following terms.
Goodbye Stuff is a personal tool for documenting a farewell to objects before they leave your life — a photo, a few words on how it made you feel, and an optional date. It's a personal, non-commercial service.
You sign in using a one-time link sent to your email address, with no password. You're responsible for keeping access to your inbox secure, and for not sharing the links sent to you with anyone else.
Any photo, text, or date you add ("your content") belongs to you. We claim no ownership over your content, and won't use it for anything other than running the app for you. You're responsible for making sure you have the right to upload any content you add — for example, not uploading photos of other people without their consent.
Your content is stored using Firebase (Google) — text in Firestore and photos in Storage. Access to your content is limited to your own account, enforced by security rules that prevent other users from reading or writing your items.
You can delete any farewell you've documented, at any time, from within the app — including its photo files. To request full account deletion, contact us at the email address below.
We may update these terms from time to time. If the terms change materially, you'll be asked to accept them again the next time you sign in.
The app is provided "as is", with no warranty of any kind. We're not responsible for content lost due to a technical failure — we recommend keeping your own backup of especially important photos and content.
